I grew up in the Northwoods of Wisconsin and look forward to sharing my passion for fly fishing in my home waters with you! Smallmouth bass and especially musky, or muskie, are my favorite fish to target, but I can also have a blast catching bluegill. As a guide, I operate on our local rivers and lesser-pressured lakes in the Hayward area.
Full day river floats are typically 8 hours of on the water fishing, focusing on fly fishing for species like muskie. The rivers I guide include the Chippewa, Flambeau, Red Cedar, and a few smaller rivers in the Hayward area. Please note that river float trips are exclusively for fly fishing in my boat, and these trips are limited to 1 or 2 guests.
Full and half day trips are available for multiple fish species, including Muskie and Musky, on various lakes in the Hayward area, utilizing both fly fishing and conventional gear. I can accommodate up to 3 guests on my boat for these guided trips, although for fly fishing, I recommend having 2 guests for a better experience.
On my guide trips in Hayward, I provide all the necessary fishing gear, including equipment for fly fishing, but you're welcome to bring your own if you prefer. On full-day trips, I will provide lunch and water, while half-day trips include light snacks and water.
For a successful day of muskie fishing, you should bring the following items: polarized sunglasses, rain gear, any medications you may need, beverages of your choice, snacks, and, most importantly, a positive attitude!
I understand that every trip, especially for fly fishing, has different needs and expectations. My goal is to tailor your fishing trip to best fit your needs and muskie or musky fishing expectations. I typically base my guide trips in Hayward on current fishing conditions and like to select the location no more than 2 days prior, but I understand that isn't always the client's desire. All trip details will be communicated at a minimum of the evening before via text or phone call (I prefer phone call).

Full Day Lake Trip, 8hrs: $450 - Explore the best spots for catching Muskie or Musky in our beautiful lakes.
